Skate Nashville 2020

Official Announcement on COVID 19 and Skate Nashville/SEGL 2020

March 15, 2020

Dear 2020 Skate Nashville & SEGL Skaters, Coaches, & Parents,

With so much uncertainty due to COVID-19, we want to share with you where we are today in regards to Skate Nashville being held April 17-19, 2020.  The USFSA has made the following recommendation:

“As many of the nation’s public and private school systems, businesses and other entities have elected to take a “pause,”… U.S. Figure Skating strongly recommends that all club events and programs (competitions, test sessions, shows, etc.) are canceled or postponed through at least April 12.  U.S. Figure Skating will continue to evaluate this rapidly evolving situation and provide updates as warranted.”

Our goal is to be able to host 2020 Skate Nashville & the SEGL competition for the skating community, but only if it is safe for our skaters, coaches, judges and parents.  Since our event is scheduled for after April 12, we will move forward with our original plan for it to be held April 17-19.  We will reevaluate weekly and follow recommendations from both USFSA and the Nashville Metro Health Department.

Thank you for your continued support!  Rest assured, if we have to cancel Skate Nashville, you will receive a full refund, so get registered today…We truly hope to see you in Nashville in April!

Kind Regards,

Skate Nashville Co-Chairs, Barb Wood & Ivy Kuzminsky; Chief Referee, Greg Cannon
